international, sustainable, collaborative - for a new generation of architects

Master Architecture | BASEhabitat

The new Master Architecture | BASEhabitat at the University of Art and Design, Linz is about socially just, ecologically and economically responsible architecture and spatial development in a global context. Central elements of the program are planning and building, particularly with sustainable building materials, such as earth and bamboo, and in close cooperation with partner-NGOs and local communities. Connected to the regular architecture master program, Architecture/BASEhabitat develops and conveys competences in
  • architectural practice in different international contexts
  •  an understanding for sociospatial relations
  •  intensive experience in design and involvement with sustainable building materials
  •  architectural processes from research to work at the construction site
The master Architecture | BASEhabitat is an answer to the pressing question about fit for the future-concepts for the way we organise and shape our world and for practical knowledge about ways to implement them.
